Mapping research about the multiplicative structures field based on the conceptual field theory

This excerpt is taken from a completed master's research endeavor, aiming to delineate a comprehensive overview of research pertaining to the Field of Multiplicative Structures, utilizing the lens of the Theory of Conceptual Fields. To achieve this objective, a corpus of master's and doctoral research conducted between 1997 and 2018, accessible through the CAPES Database of Dissertations and Theses, was examined. The search parameters encompassed descriptors such as multiplicative structures and Multiplicative Field," yielding a total of 97 studies. Following an initial scrutiny, it was discerned that only 64 studies adhered to the established criteria. Within this corpus, data was organized to illustrate the distribution based on study type, year, and publication details. Furthermore, studies were categorized according to participants or focal points. The analysis revealed a paucity of research centered on combinatorial reasoning from Vergnaud's theoretical standpoint, highlighting substantial obstacles to comprehending combinatorial concepts among students.
