Resumen
Estadísticamente hablando, dos o más variables independientes “interactúan" cuando el efecto combinado de dichas variables en la predicción del comportamiento de la variable dependiente, es más poderoso que el efecto puramente aditivo que cada una aporta a la mencionada predicción. En otras palabras, decimos que existe una "interacción" entre un grupo de variables independientes, cuando la varianza de la variable dependiente puede explicarse mejor en términos de la interacción, que en términos de la contribución disjunta de cada variable independiente.
