Conciencia metacognitiva de los profesores de matemáticas y sus enfoques pedagógicos: identificando relaciones causales

Resumen
En el estudio que presentamos a continuación se exploran relaciones causales entre la conciencia metacognitiva de 240 profesores de matemáticas y sus percepciones acerca de sus métodos de enseñanza en Chile. Los maestros participaron en un programa de desarrollo profesional de una semana denominado RPContenido. Se aplicaron dos cuestionarios, al inicio y final del programa. Tales cuestionarios abordaron preguntas sobre la conciencia metacognitiva de los profesores y sus enfoques pedagógicos. Para el análisis de los datos, se utilizó la técnica cuantitativa del Panel de Correlación Cruzada o PCC, la cual ha sido utilizada en el campo de la educación matemática para identificar dichas relaciones. Los resultados evidencian una relación significativa entre la conciencia de los profesores acerca de la metaplanificación, meta-monitoreo y meta-evaluación, y los enfoques pedagógicos activos. Esto contrasta con el hecho de que no existe correlación entre la conciencia metacognitiva de los profesores y los enfoques pedagógicos tradicionales.
