Resumen
En este trabajo se presenta una investigación de corte teórico que analiza el carácter de especializado en el modelo Mathematical Knowledge for Teaching desarrollado por el grupo de investigación en educación matemática de la Universidad de Michigan. La motivación surge a partir de dificultades detectadas en el uso de dicho modelo, sobre todo en cuestión de delimitación entre los subdominios que lo conforman. Se expone el resultado de una amplia revisión bibliográfica en la cual se pone principal énfasis en la definición y ejemplificación de conocimiento especializado. Finalmente, se presenta un modelo que ha sido construido mediante elucubración teórica en la Universidad de Huelva, España como reacción a las dificultades identificadas en el anterior.
