Aportes a la formación de un profesor de matemáticas de la historia cognitiva sobre el pensamiento de Galileo

Aunque dentro de la formación del profesor de Matemáticas en algunos centros de educación superior se contempla la enseñanza de la Historia de las Matemáticas, la realidad es que comúnmente suele subestimarse el potencial del conocimiento histórico en la formación de maestros en esta área de estudio (Historia de las Matemáticas), relegándola únicamente al enriquecimiento intelectual del maestro en formación, por lo que, puede generar la sensación de trivialidad o de poco productiva para la labor docente. Mediante el presente informe de trabajo de grado, presento el resultado de haber estudiado un documento sobre historia de las Matemáticas; estudiar un documento (académico y científico) hace referencia a indagar a fondo las teorías y conceptos inmersos en él, de manera tal permiten a quien estudia el documento, conocer y exponer con exactitud la postura del autor y los fundamentos en los que se basa este para formular su tesis, en el caso particular de este trabajo, realizar este ejercicio con el documento de Palmieri (2003) me permitió comprender la tesis del autor sobre la pertinencia de estudiar el pensamiento de Galileo Galilei en torno a la matematización de la naturaleza a partir de la teoría de la ciencia cognitiva y los modelos mentales.
