Esta Oficina tem como objetivo (re)construir os poliedros convexos, em especial, os poliedros de Platão, partindo de situações vivenciadas pelos professores por meio da investigação de um caso concreto, a Bola de Futebol. Ela nasceu de um trabalho de cunho investigativo, realizado com professores e alunos do 4º e 5º ano (9-11 anos) das Escolas Básica, em Portugal, no intuito de responder as questões: Os alunos conseguem trabalhar noções espaciais de forma lúdica? Os professores são capazes de promover este tipo de trabalho nas suas aulas? Que condições são necessárias para que isso aconteça? As propostas serão 1apresentadas em etapas: convite para construir uma bola de futebol; investigação da bola de futebol e discussão dos resultados obtidos; o relato de experiências vivenciadas pelos alunos (9-11 anos); construção da bola de futebol e do porquê esta é formada por pentágonos e hexágonos e discussão das possibilidades e desafios deste trabalho.
